WV State Bar Regional Meetings 

October 13-29, 2015: The West Virginia State Bar will hold nine Regional Meetings  this fall. These meetings will provide 3.0 Continuing Legal Education credits, including 2 in the areas of ethics and substance abuse. The seminars have only been approved for CLE credit in West Virginia. Lunch will be included at each meeting. Each Regional Meeting will begin at 10:30 a.m. and will last until, approximately, 1:30 p.m. The cost is $100 per person. One of The State Bar’s Officers will attend each meeting.

October 14 – Clarion Inn – Shepherdstown

October 15 – South Branch Inn – Moorefield

October 20 – University of Charleston – Charleston

October 21 – The Blennerhassett – Parkersburg

October 22 – Guyan Country Club – Huntington

 October 27 – Oliverio’s – Bridgeport

October 28 – Waterfront Place Hotel – Morgantown

October 29 – Oglebay Resort – Wheeling

West Virginia Veterans Day of Service
An Opportunity to Serve Those Who Served Our Country
The West Virginia State Bar’s Veterans and Military Affairs Committee will be hosting a webinar on Friday, October 30, 2015.  The webinar will be live in Beckley and will be broadcast to the Veterans Administration Medical Centers in Bridgeport, Huntington, and Martinsburg. The webinar, which will run from 10:00 – 11:40, has been approved for 2.0 hours of general West Virginia CLE credit. Attendance is FREE but attendees will be asked to stay at the VAMC for one hour after the seminar working directly with veterans who will be scheduled for appointments at each facility between noon and 1:00 p.m.  For a list of topics and speakers click here.  For Registration information click here.  Questions?  Contact Anita Casey at caseya@wvbar.org.

The 2016 Annual Conference and Meeting of the West Virginia State Bar
The West Virginia State Bar’s Annual Conference and Meeting is the ideal venue to reconnect with lawyers and friends – and to build new relationships – all while enjoying the amenities of West Virginia’s premier resort, the Greenbrier. Attendance at the Dinner on Sunday, April 3, and the CLE program on Monday, April 4, is only $195.00. For those who can only attend the seminar on April 4, the cost is $75.00. For those who can only attend the dinner on April 3, the cost is $130.00.

Tri-State Tax Institute
The 58th annual tax seminar sponsored by the Tri-State Tax Institute and Wheeling Jesuit University will be held on
October 20, 2015 on the campus of Wheeling Jesuit University in Wheeling.  For additional information click here.  If you have questions, contact Paula Ullom at Wheeling Jesuit University atpullom@wju.edu. CLE credits are approved for West Virginia, Ohio and Pennsylvania, including an hour of ethics credit.
