The Veterans and Military Affairs Committee invites you to SPIRIT OF THE MOUNTAINS
Honoring Major General James A. Hoyer, The Adjutant General of West Virginia – SPIRIT OF THE MOUNTAINS will be held at the Governor’s Mansion on April 23, 2015 at 5:30 p.m. General Hoyer is the 2015 recipient of the Lewis N. McManus YLA Service Award, presented annually to a person who demonstrates a life-long commitment to helping others, especially our state’s youth. Spirit of the Mountains raises financial support for the Youth Leadership Association’s West Virginia youth programs including local youth leadership groups, Youth in Government Student Legislature and Supreme Court, 8th Grade Youth & Government Seminars, YLA Model United Nations, Camp Horseshoe’s teen Entrepreneurship and Leadership Summits and the Governor’s Youth Opportunity Camps for low income 7 – 12 year old boys and girls. Individual tickets are $50.00 each. Group purchases for event sponsors are also available.
