The Fourth Circuit Public Defender Corporation (Wood and Wirt Counties) is accepting applications for the position of Chief Public Defender and Assistant Public Defenders. The United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit seeks applications from all highly qualified candidates for a fourteen-year appointment as United States Bankruptcy Judge for theSouthern District of West Virginia atCharleston.Applications must be COMPLETED AND RECEIVED NO LATER THAN March 2, 2015.

27th Annual Public Interest Advocates Auction 
The 27th Annual PIA Auction will be held on Thursday, March 5th, at the WVU College of Law. The “Heroes of Public Interest”-themed event will begin with a buffet-style dinner at 5:00 p.m. in the College of Law lobby, followed by the auction at 6:15 p.m. The event is open to the public; the auction is free, and tickets for the dinner can be purchased for $10 at the door. Check out the PIA Auction on Facebook to see photos and details of the great items we’ve got up for bid this year: https://www.facebook.com/pia.auction

Appointment of a Full-Time United States

 Magistrate Judge

The US District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia is accepting applications for a full-time US Magistrate Judge to serve the Clarksburg and Elkins points of holding court.   The term of office is eight years subject to reappointment. The full position description, and application forms may be obtained from the Clerk’s offices in Clarksburg, Elkins, Martinsburg, or Wheeling and on  http://www.wvnd.uscourts.gov/

Applications must be submitted personally or by certified mail and received by March 13, 2015.  Applicants must submit an original and ten copies of the application in an envelope marked “CONFIDENTIAL” to Cheryl Dean Riley, Clerk of Court, U.S. District Court, 1125 Chapline Street, P.O. Box 471, Wheeling WV 26003.
