The West Virginia State Bars Unlawful Practice of Law Committee is pleased to announce the new online system for Pro Hac Vice submissions. Starting February 18, 2014, all Pro Hac Vice Admission requests should be directed towww.mywvbar.org/phvad .
The new system will allow payment of filing fees on line and will expedite the submission process significantly. Paper submission will still be accepted, however online submissions are encouraged.

L.E.O. Approved by the Lawyer Disciplinary Board
The Lawyer Disciplinary Board approved the following L.E.O. at its January 17, 2014 meeting: L.E.O. 2014-01: “The duty of counsel to treat all persons represented by a Guardian Ad Litem the same as any other person or party in terms of prohibited direct contact”.
The National Energy and Sustainability Moot Court Competition at WVU Law is looking for volunteer judges.

Legal Fellows Opportunities with US Attorney’s Office, NDWV
On Monday, February 24 at Noon at the WVU College of Law, Bill Ihlenfeld, the US Attorney for the Northern District, will be speaking about opportunities within his office through a Legal Fellows Program, as well as opportunities for part-time work as a Special Assistant US Attorney. All positions are unpaid, but provide invaluable litigation experience, and can serve as transition period between law school and full-time practice, or assist those who are re-entering the profession. This session is aimed at providing general information, and will be an opportunity for those in attendance to learn more about the US Attorney’s office. Questions?
