Although these are difficult and uncertain times we don’t want to miss highlighting an attorney who is MoreThanA Lawyer. Sharing the good work of our attorneys will always be a priority and Brandy Bell portrays the best in helping her community beyond her practice of law at Kay Casto & Chaney PLLC. Here is her story. ******************************************* Brandy resides in Bridgeport, WV, with her family and practices law in Morgantown. Beyond her duties of her practice and as a wife and mother of two, Brandy exemplifies how our lawyers give back to their communities with her many volunteer activities. “My husband and I feel strongly about giving back and supporting our local schools, youth sports programs, church, and community.” She is active with her children’s pre-school and elementary school serving on their boards and organizing fundraisers and events to address the needs of students and teachers, whether funding for a playground or calm areas in the school, or supporting the local backpack programs. As a member of several youth sports programs Brandy also strives to ensure that every child has the opportunity to find passion in what they love. Brandy also invests her time and energy in the @GFWC Bridgeport Junior Woman’s Club which is dedicated to community improvement, including the organization of water walks to raise awareness of clean water issues that impact areas around the world, raising funds for WVU Children’s Hospital and providing scholarships to students who also participate in community service. Brandy was nominated by her law partner, Shannon Smith.
Thank you, Brandy, for your dedication to these volunteer organizations and the children they serve. You make us proud!
What is our MoreThanALawyer campaign all about? It highlights all the ways West Virginia’s attorneys impact lives within and outside of their profession. West Virginia's lawyers are service members, volunteers, mentors, coaches, musicians and committed advocates. In all of these roles, they make a difference in their community. Each month we share a MoreThanALawyer story on West Virginia State Bar’s Facebook and Twitter pages. ... See MoreSee Less
