MCLE 2012-14 Reporting Period

The July 1,2012 – June 30,2014 Reporting Period

has ended. Members who were non-compliant as of August 1, 2014 will be assessed a $50 late filing fee. Members non-compliant after October 1st will be assessed a $100 late filing fee.

8th Family Court Judicial Circuit Vacancy

The Judicial Vacancy Advisory Commission is currently receiving applications to fill the judicial vacancy on the 8th Family Court Judicial Circuit serving Mingo County. Candidates must submit their completed applications by no later than 5:00 p.m. on

Rules of Practice and Procedure for Minor Guardianship Proceedings

The Court is requesting Public Comment on Proposed Amendments to The Rules of Practice and Procedure for Minor Guardianship Proceedings.  Public Comments are to be filed with the Clerk of the West Virginia Supreme Court on or before August 11, 2014.

WV State Bar Regional Meetings

The West Virginia State Bar will hold nine Regional Meetings  this fall. These meetings will provide 3.0 Continuing Legal Education credits in the areas of ethics, office management, substance abuse, and/or elimination of bias. Lunch will be included at each meeting. Each Regional Meeting will begin at 10:30 a.m. and will last until, approximately, 1:30 p.m. The cost is $100 per person. One of The State Bar’s Officers will attend each meeting.

Below is a list of tentative dates and locations.
