Updated Rules for Lawyer Assistance Program
The Court has proposed Amendments to the Lawyer Assistance Program that would amend the funding and administrative clause. Comments must be filed in writing by April 29, 2013.
Donations for Afghanistan Children’s Support Center
Commander William R. Hinerman and the West Virginia State Bar Veterans and Military Affairs Committee would like to offer the members of the WV State Bar the opportunity to send items to the human rights organization, Women for Afghan Women. They opened the Children’s Support Center in 2009 to provide shelter, food, clothes, and education to these children. The children are in need of clothes, school supplies, or even small toys.
The 2013 version of the State Bar membership directory is now available. The directory is a digital .PDF file that can be saved to your computer. As a service to our members, this version of the directory is only available through the member login.
The 2013 Citizen Soldier Award will be presented at the 2013 Annual Meeting of The West Virginia State Bar at Stonewall Resort in Roanoke, W.Va., on May 10, 2013. To obtain information regarding the awards process click here.

Recording CLE Hours for Non-Approved Providers
At its meeting of January 11, 2013, The West Virginia State Bar Board of Governors approved a $20 fee for reporting CLE credit hours submitted for any program which has not received prior approval from the MCLE Commission. The filing fee will become effective for all non-approved hours submitted on or after March 18. Click here to view a copy of the form.
