The 2013 Judicial Benchbook for Child Abuse and Neglect Proceedings is now available for free download. The benchbook is a must-have resource for anyone practicing in child abuse/neglect cases, as it contains case law, statutes, rules, and more information related to this field. Living Monuments: The Courthouse Book Release

A Book of the 55 County Courthouses of West Virginia will be released on Febuary 16, 2013 at Taylor Books in Charleston, WV.  The book is a project of the West Virginia Association of Counties, produced by The Walkabout Company, PLLC, of Wheeling.

Supreme Court Order

The Minority Lawyers Committee Of the West Virginia State Bar Call for Interest
The Minority Lawyers Committee of the West Virginia State Bar recognizes that achieving diversity in the legal profession is an evolutionary process that requires continued effort and commitment. Realizing that a diverse group of talented legal professionals is important to the success of law firms, law departments, public service organizations and other legal entities, the Minority Lawyers Committee has made it a priority to reach out to West Virginia College of Law and assist with the Minority Clerkship Program.

Voluntary Good Practices Guidance to Combat Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing

The ABA Task Force on Gatekeeper Regulation and the Profession has worked with other entities to develop voluntary good practices guidance for lawyers to combat money laundering and terrorist financing.  The Task Force has concerns about how mandatory gatekeeper provisions might affect confidential attorney-client relationships and other issues.  Below are two publications from the ABA Task Force:
