In order to better serve our members and the public, and to keep up with technology, the State Bar needs to replace its outdated phone system. As a result we are changing our phone numbers.
If you have not paid membership dues and submitted FRD Compliance reports, you are past due and owe late fees. If requirements are not met by November 19, 2012, your membership status will be moved to suspended for nonpayment and/or noncompliance.
Please take notice that according to the Comments to Rule 7.I of the Rules of Professional Conduct, it is the affirmed position of the Lawyer Disciplinary Board and its Office of Disciplinary Counsel that advertising verdicts is an example of a misleading communication and could be in violation of Rule 7.1 of the Rules of Professional Conduct. Forty-Five days after the publication of this notice, the Lawyer Disciplinary Board has ordered the Office of Disciplinary Counsel to begin docketing and investigating complaints against lawyers in violation of this Rule. Until such time, lawyers are strongly urged to come into compliance with the Rules of Professional Conduct.
