Young Lawyers Participate in WV Law Adventure
The State Bar Young Lawyers Section will participate with the Supreme Court of Appeals in a program for fifth grade through high school students endorsed by the WV Board of Education.
The Young Lawyers’ Executive Committee is seeking nominations for the District 10 (Mercer, Monroe and Summers Counties) and District 11 (Fayette, Greenbrier, and Nicholas Counties) positions. Nominees must be members in good standing with the State Bar who have been sworn to practice before the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals and who are 35 years of age or under, or members admitted to practice ten years or less prior to the State Bar’s annual meeting. Additionally, nominees must have an office in the District which they are nominated. Nominations will be accepted untilNovember 15th. On October 29, 2013, Matt Arrowood, Director of Circuit Clerk Services, presented proposed amendments to the West Virginia Trial Court Rules, West Virginia Rules of Civil Procedure, and Rules of Criminal Procedure, all to establish the Unified Electronic Filing System.
The Court did provisionally approve said amendments, as well as a period of public comment on the proposed amendments. Additions are indicated by underlining. Comments may be filed in writing with the Clerk of this Court on or before
