The West Virginia State Bar is seeking photos of Bar Members who are actively serving, or have served in any branch of military. These photos will be used to create the magazine cover for the State Bar’s publication, “The West Virginia Lawyer”. The Fall 2025 edition will be a special veterans issue, featuring articles about updates to laws impacting military families, features on Bar members with military experience, and lawyers that go the extra mile to assist veterans in the state.
Before submitting your photo please review the guidelines below:
Photo Submission Guidelines:
Only members of the West Virginia State Bar are eligible to submit photos. You must enter a valid State Bar ID in order to submit your photo. If the Bar ID provided does not match the member account photos will not be considered.
- To allow us to feature as many photos as possible, Bar members should only submit one photo each.
- All photos must feature a West Virginia State Bar member who has served, in their military uniform. Only photos of West Virginia State Bar military service members will be considered.
- Photos may be submitted by the Bar member themselves or by a fellow Bar member on their behalf.
- Selected photos will be featured on the cover of an upcoming issue of the Bar’s official magazine.
- By submitting, you grant permission for the State Bar to use the photo for publication and promotional purposes.
Please note photos should be of good quality and high resolution for use in the magazine. 300 PPI (pixels per inch) is recommended. Photos should be submitted no later than July 25, 2025.
