The West Virginia State Bar has many ways that you can volunteer both internally by joining a committee and externally through committee sponsored programs.

Lawyer Referral Service – Participants in the new Lawyer Referral Service can be searched by practice area and zip code. The referral service offers clients an opportunity to find a lawyer, and lawyers an opportunity to find clients. You must agree to see clients for an initial consultation for a fee of no more than $25. To register as an attorney click here.
Tuesday Legal Connect – On Tuesday nights the WV State Bar operates the Tuesday Legal Connect. Volunteer lawyers take calls from the public, and offer suggestions and guidance about their questions. Every Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., lawyers volunteer their time to answer questions that are presented by men and women throughout West Virginia on a toll free telephone line. The lawyers listen to the citizens’ comments and questions. West Virginia Free Legal Answers – West Virginia Free Legal Answers allows eligible users to post a legal question to a private messaging system. The questions are answered by volunteer attorneys. To register click here.
