Performs complex legal duties and handle significant matters assigned by the Legal Division Director and Attorney Supervisor, including but not limited to work in the area of contract and construction law. Experience that includes drafting and negotiating construction contracts and/or experience in construction disputes is preferred but not required. Other duties may include: representing the agency in disputes before various judicial and administrative forums; reviewing, evaluating, and drafting state rules, guidelines and policies; drafting, reviewing and analyzing complex construction, professional services, and real estate contracts; mentoring and training attorneys and administrative staff within the practice section; and performing similar or related work as required. Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to work with and maintain confidential information.
