The Office of the West Virginia Attorney General
The West Virginia Attorney General’s Office seeks a full-time attorney to join the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit (“MFCU”). This position will work with the MFCU on investigating, prosecuting and obtaining criminal and civil remedies against individuals and corporate entities responsible for improper or fraudulent Medicaid billing schemes as well as investigating and prosecuting allegations of abuse, neglect, and financial exploitation of residents in nursing homes and other residential healthcare facilities.
Applicants must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in civil or criminal litigation and possess good judgement. Candidates with prior healthcare fraud experience are preferred. Ideal applicants will have substantial grand jury and trial experience that preferably includes the investigation and prosecution of financial crimes, as well as experience in state and federal courts in West Virginia.
The position is in Charleston, West Virginia. Candidates must also have an active WV license or be eligible for admission.
