
Public Defender Corporation for Kanawha County
The Kanawha County Public Defender’s Office is seeking qualified applicants for multiple full-time Assistant Public Defender positions. Successful candidates will represent clients in trial-level proceedings alongside a team of other attorneys, investigators, and support staff. Applicants must be licensed to practice in West Virginia or eligible to be licensed by full admission, reciprocity, or Rule 9 of the West Virginia Rules for Admission to Practice. Experience is preferred but not required.
Compensation includes salary commensurate with experience and education, health and life insurance benefits, participation in the State retirement system, paid holidays, vacation, medical, and parental leave.
