Dinsmore & Shohl, a prominent national law firm with over 700 attorneys in 29 cities, has an immediate opportunity available for an employment associate in our Charleston, West Virginia office. Candidates must have one to five years of experience. Responsibilities include litigation defense, advising employers on compliance with state and federal employment laws, drafting and revising employment policies, and working on FMLA, ADA, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful discharge, and violation of wage law matters. Experience taking depositions, arguing motions, and preparing cases for trial is preferred. Qualified candidates can look forward to a practice that will include significant client contact and handling all aspects of complex employment cases for regional and national clients of all sizes.
A license to practice in West Virginia is required. Out of state candidates who are either willing to sit for the WV bar exam or eligible to waive in will be considered. All candidates should have a strong academic background, and possess excellent research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
