October 20-26, 2019: To help celebrate the 2019 National Pro Bono week, The West Virginia State Bar invites it’s Bar members to participate in one of our committee sponsored volunteer programs. Since 2014, over 140 West Virginia licensed attorneys have volunteered their time to answer 2,300+ civil legal questions through West Virginia Free Legal Answers. Also, each year West Virginia licensed attorneys answer 1,000 telephone calls through Tuesday Legal Connect.
How to Get Involved:
Tuesday Legal Connect– Every Tuesday evening, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., West Virginia State Bar members volunteer their time to answer questions on a toll-free telephone line. If you would like to participate in Tuesday Legal Connect as an attorney, contact Tina Roberts at 304-343-3013 ext. 2159.
West Virginia Free Legal Answers – Eligible users post legal questions to a private messaging system. The questions are answered by volunteer attorneys. If you would like to participate as a volunteer attorney, please click here to register.
