Part Time Hearing Officer – West Virginia Consolidated Public Retirement Board (CPRB)
The CPRB is requesting bids for part-time hearing officer services to be provided at the offices of the Board at 4101 MacCorkle Ave., SE, Charleston, WV 25304.
Vendor must be licensed to practice law in the State of West Virginia and be in good standing with the West Virginia State Bar. Vendor should have a minimum of five years experience as a hearing officer or administrative law judge and have knowledge of applicable federal law and West Virginia case law and Code provisions concerning the nine (9) governmental pension plans administered by the CPRB. The vendor is required to hold hearings in accordance with the applicable West Virginia statutes and rules, including the Administrative Procedures Act. The vendor is required to timely prepare his or her Recommended Decision in the format required by the CPRB and to attend Board meetings to explain and answer questions. The vendor should not be a member or retiree in any of the plans administered by the CPRB.
